Biography

Maria Elektorowicz is a Professor in the Building, Civil, and Environmental Engineering department at Concordia University. She obtained her M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from Warsaw Technical University in Poland, where she conducted significant research on bio-physico-chemical interactions in soil and groundwater. She is the Chair of the Environmental Engineering Division of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering and actively engages in various consulting works aimed at site remediation and sustainable technologies. Her teaching encompasses both undergraduate and graduate courses related to environmental engineering, waste management, and hazardous waste management.
