Biography

Professor Grau is a Visiting Professor at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law and a Professor in Financial and Tax Law at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Her current research focuses on the connections between tax law, corporate social responsibility, compliance audits, environmental law, and artificial intelligence. She is the author of books on international administrative cooperation in tax matters and legislative coordination in fiscal decentralization, as well as numerous articles related to financial tax law topics. She teaches European Union Taxation in the spring semester. Her scientific work has been recognized with awards such as the Mitchell B. Carroll Prize from the International Fiscal Association, the Prix Pierre Coppens from the Revue Pratique des Sociétés-Université Catholique de Louvain, and the Premio San Raimundo de Peñafort from the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation. She is a member of the Spanish Royal Academy of Jurisprudence and Legislation (Tax Law Section), the European Association of Tax Law Professors, and the International Fiscal Association. Professor Grau has participated in the Subcommittee on Environmental Taxation created by the United Nations Committee of Experts on International Cooperation in Tax Matters, leading the debate on the legal, ethical, and socio-economic aspects of the EU H2020 INBOTS project on Inclusive Robotics Society.
