Biography

Born in Seville, Spain, Maria Jose Martinez Bravo saw her participation in helping sick people recover and decided to study Pharmacy. She started her PhD focused on the latest scientific advances and wanted to gain experience in international labs which led her to accept a two-year postdoctoral offer at the Karolinska Institute. This experience was invaluable, as it exposed her to rich cultural diversity and exceptional researchers. Following her postdoc, Maria joined King's College London as a Research Associate, where she lectured to Dentistry students. Motivated by the success of her teaching, she accepted a position as a Teaching Fellow in the School of Pharmacy, where her journey began over ten years ago. Maria continues to develop her research, currently focused on finding a vaccine for Tuberculosis in collaboration with various institutions.
