Biography

Maria Carla Piastra studied Applied Mathematics at the University of Genova, Italy, and obtained her PhD in Applied Mathematics from the University of Muenster, Germany. She was a Postdoctoral researcher at the Donders Institute in Nijmegen, engaged in projects including NeuroCIMT and FLAG-ERA NeuronsReunited. Her publications include significant contributions to the development of finite element methods applicable to MEG/EEG problems, revealing advancements in source analysis related to brain activities affected by stroke lesions.
