Biography

Maria Rodas is an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She completed her Ph.D. in Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota in 2019. She has also obtained an M.B.A. from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Harvard University. Her professional experience includes positions as a Brand Manager at Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. and General Mills, as well as an Assistant Brand Manager at Colgate-Palmolive. Rodas's research focuses on Branding, Multicultural Consumers, and Cross-Cultural Consumer Behavior. She has received several awards for her teaching and research contributions, including the Gies Advanced Scholar recognition and the Journal of Marketing Outstanding Reviewer Award from the American Marketing Association. She is actively involved in editorial work and is a member of the Journal Marketing's Editorial Board.
