Dr. Maria Rogers holds the Tier II Canada Research Chair in Child and Youth Mental Health and Well-being at Carleton University. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology, her research focuses on the impact of relationships on the emotional and educational development of children and youth. Her core area of study examines relational health in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and investigates the associations between these conditions and children’s learning. Alongside her academic pursuits, Dr. Rogers is the co-founder of the Canadian School Attendance Partnership (CSAP) which is dedicated to addressing chronic absenteeism among children and teens. With a commitment to culturally responsive practices, she has a personal interest in the well-being and education of Indigenous children, often collaborating with Indigenous community members, schools, and families in her clinical work. Dr. Rogers is a registered clinical psychologist in Ontario and Québec.
