Biography

Maria Engtoft Skjøtt is a Biomedical Laboratory Scientist specializing in molecular medicine with a primary focus on cancer research. Her work involves engaging in spatial transcriptomics techniques such as CosMx/GeoMx and conducting functional analyses of variants of uncertain significance. She has notable experience in cell culture, particularly with bacterial cultures, and works with organoids and isolation of PBMCs. Additionally, she serves as the vice-chair of the department's union, representing colleagues and ensuring their interests are addressed. In her role, Maria processes information, extracts insights, generates reports, and provides an understanding of service usage and data management within laboratory contexts.
