Wyke's research interests focus on the intersection of gender, sexuality, and desire as reflected in Roman love poetry. She has a keen interest in the reception of classical texts and is currently the principal investigator of the AHRC-funded project 'Museum Dreamworlds', which investigates silent films related to ancient Greece and Rome held at the BFI National Archive.
