Biography

Mariah Stump, MD, MPH, FACP, DipABLM, ABOIM is an attending physician and clinician educator at the Women's Medicine Collaborative and Lifespan Lifestyle Medicine Center. She is a clinical assistant professor of medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and is passionate about medical education, particularly incorporating nutrition and lifestyle medicine into the curriculum. Dr. Stump is board certified in internal medicine and has completed a master’s degree in public health with a concentration in women’s and adolescent health from Johns Hopkins University. She precepts internal medicine residents and serves as the course director for the Introduction to Lifestyle Medicine Clinical Elective. As the current Chair of the Primary Care Physician's Advisory Committee at the Rhode Island Department of Health, she advocates for primary care physicians in the state. Her research interests include integrative lifestyle medicine, medical education, fibromyalgia, and mindfulness, and she is currently conducting a study on shared medical appointments for fibromyalgia patients. Dr. Stump also serves as the President of the Rhode Island Women's Medical Association and is a certified Vinyasa yoga instructor, focusing on the benefits of movement in medicine.
