Biography

Mariana Gonzalez Utrilla is a Research Associate at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience at King's College London. She joined King’s College London in January 2024 as a Research Assistant for the Stepping Stones Study and is currently involved in the Buccal Naloxone Healthy Volunteers study (NAlBuc), which focuses on a phase 1 pharmacokinetic study comparing a novel buccal naloxone wafer to existing forms of naloxone. Additionally, she is working on the BUILD2depot study, aimed at developing and testing improved methods for switching patients from methadone to buprenorphine long-acting injection for individuals with opioid dependence. Mariana is a junior doctor from Mexico and holds a Master of Public Health from the University of Sheffield and a Master of Science in Epidemiology and Biostatistics from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sante Public.
