Biography

Marianna Fotaki holds degrees in medicine, health economics, and a PhD in public policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Since joining academia in 2003, she has worked as a medical doctor in Greece, China, and the UK, and has volunteered as a manager for humanitarian organizations such as Médecins du Monde and Médecins sans Frontiers in Iraq and Albania. Marianna has served as a senior resident adviser to governments in transition in Russia, Georgia, and Armenia. Currently, she is a Senior Editor for Organization Studies and co-directs the pro bono online think tank Centre for Health in the Public Interest, a charity focused on disseminating research to inform public policymakers. Additionally, Marianna was a Network Fellow at the Edmond J. Safra Center for Ethics at Harvard University during 2014-2015.
