Dr. Marianne Passarelli

Biography

Marianne Passarelli, MD, is an Associate Professor in Urology at Yale School of Medicine, focusing on female urologic issues, including urinary tract infections, kidney stones, overactive bladder, and voiding dysfunctions. After obtaining her MD from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, she completed her urologic training at SUNY Health Science Center Syracuse, where she also served as Chief Resident. Dr. Passarelli emphasizes a conservative approach to treatment, preferring behavioral modifications and conservative therapies before resorting to pharmacologic interventions or surgeries. She actively engages with her patients to understand the underlying stressors affecting their health, fostering a supportive environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their issues beyond just their medical problems. Dr. Passarelli also contributes to the medical field through her involvement in the American College of Surgeons and has received honors including being named a Castle Connolly Top Doctor multiple times.
