Dr. Marianne Robichaud

Biography

Marianne Villettaz Robichaud is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the Université de Montréal. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy with a focus on Animal Sciences from Laval University, a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences from Laval University, and a Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph. Her research primarily focuses on improving the living conditions and welfare of farm animals, examining the relationship between welfare levels and productivity, and developing new management strategies to enhance the comfort and well-being of dairy animals. She is actively involved in various research projects aiming at assessing animal behavior and well-being on farms, and she collaborates with multiple co-researchers across different initiatives funded by local agricultural organizations. In addition to her research, she supervises graduate students at both M.Sc. and Ph.D. levels, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and practice within the veterinary sciences. Her publications and research contributions have significantly impacted the field of animal welfare and management, demonstrating a commitment to both academic excellence and practical application in agriculture.
