After completing a PhD at the University of Montreal with Dr. Jacques Thibodeau, I pursued my scientific career in Ottawa as a postdoctoral fellow with Dr. John Bell. I am now a regular researcher at the Montreal Cancer Institute and at the CHUM Research Centre, specializing in cancer immunotherapy, particularly how to use viruses to directly kill cancers and create vaccines against cancer. These viruses, known as oncolytic viruses, represent a new form of immunotherapeutic treatments for cancer. It is exciting to work on curing cancers that are considered incurable. In academia, postdoctoral fellows are seen as significant drivers of innovation and discovery in Canada.
