Biography

Marie Achille is a professor at the Department of Psychology at the Université de Montréal. She has held significant roles, such as the head of graduate programs in clinical psychology from 2014 to 2017 and represented the CRÉPUQ on the Committee for the training of psychologists in Quebec from 2009 to 2014. Prior to her administrative roles, she was the director of the Interdisciplinary Support Service for Student Success (SAFIRE) and the academic director of the Language Center from 2017 to 2020. Her research expertise focuses on the psychological, social, and ethical issues related to organ donation and transplantation. Achille is a member of the Quebec Order of Psychologists and serves on the ethics committee for Transplant Québec. She collaborates closely with kidney and pancreas transplant teams at CHUM and has developed a research program in transplant psychology that addresses the human experience of chronic diseases and the advanced medical technologies used in these contexts.
