Biography

Marie Chazal joined the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University in October 2014. She received her Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from Paris Dauphine University in France. Marie holds an M.S. in Modeling Mathematical Methods for Economics and Finance from the University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, France. During her Ph.D. studies, she was a member of the Center for Research in Economics and Statistics (CREST) in Paris, France. Following her Ph.D., she worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the financial insurance mathematics group at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich, Switzerland. Before coming to Cornell, she served as an Assistant Lecturer and Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Mathematics at Université Libre de Bruxelles. Her research interests include Mathematical Economics and Financial Mathematics, with a focus on the study of Stochastic Processes.
