Marie Cronqvist is a professor at Lund University specializing in 20th century Nordic European cultural media history with a focus on Cold War culture and its narratives. Her notable dissertation, "The Man in the Middle: Spy Drama in Swedish Cold War Culture," published in 2004, critiques the representation of spies in Swedish media during the 1950s and 1960s. With a robust research portfolio, Cronqvist has led projects such as "The People's Home in the Atomic Age" and "Entangled Television Histories: Media Networks and Programme Exchange between Sweden and East Germany," revealing insights into civil defense narratives and media exchanges during pivotal moments in history.
