Biography

Marie Grusell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Journalism, Media Communication at the University of Gothenburg, where she specializes in strategic communication, particularly in the field of political communication. She defended her dissertation in 2008, titled 'Advertising - Uninvited Guest? Public's Perceptions of Advertising in Morning Press and Television.' Additionally, she has served as Chair of the Political Communication division of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) and has been actively involved with the Mistra Environmental Communication research program. As a co-editor of various anthologies and reports, her contributions aim to disseminate scientific insights into political campaigning and environmental communication practices in Sweden. Grusell is also engaged with the Center for Consumer Research and participates in steering committees within the academic community to foster interdisciplinary collaboration.
