Biography

Marie Ouellet is an assistant professor in the School of Criminology at Simon Fraser University. Her research applies network science to understand how relationships and interactions shape offending patterns, criminal mobility, and group evolution. Ouellet is conducting a longitudinal study on police networks to understand how officers build and maintain their professional social relationships and the consequences of network structures on the diffusion of behaviors and attitudes. This research has supported the National Science Foundation’s Early Career Award for the National Collaborative Gun Violence Research.
