Biography

Mariel Perez Zabaleta is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the DTU National Food Institute. Her research focuses on risk assessment and the effects of water treatment options on food production. With a PhD background in Industrial Biotechnology from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, she has addressed global issues such as wastewater treatment, antimicrobial resistance, and COVID-19 surveillance.
