Biography

Marielle Baldwin, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine and an addiction specialist at Boston Medical Center. She completed her family medicine residency and served as chief resident at Boston Medical Center (BMC) in 2017. Baldwin is board certified in Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. She has developed numerous clinical programs and quality improvement initiatives, serving as the Medical Director of the Stimulant Treatment and Recovery Team (START), which employs evidence-based contingency management techniques for treating patients with stimulant use disorders. Additionally, she leads the Office-Based Addiction Treatment (OBAT) Program and has directed the Hepatitis C Program within Family Medicine at BMC. Her research focuses on stimulant use disorders, particularly cocaine and methamphetamine usage, harm reduction strategies, and the integration of stimulant care in primary care settings.
