Dr. Mariette Théberge

Biography

Mariette Théberge is a full professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Ottawa, where she specializes in arts education, epistemology, and research methodology. She holds a master's degree and a doctorate in education. Her academic background includes studying playwriting in Paris under Alain Knapp. Professor Théberge's primary research interests encompass arts education, cultural identity, and the creative process. She has led research projects focusing on adolescents in specialized art programs within French language schools in Ontario. Additionally, her work engages with the creative processes involved in productions with professional theatre companies, particularly within Canadian Francophone communities, and extends to teacher training and artistic learning for adults.
