Biography

Marika Solhan is an Assistant Professor at Boston University Chobanian & Avedisian School of Medicine, specializing in Psychiatry. She completed her PhD at the University of Missouri, where she also earned her MA. She holds a BS from Texas A&M University. Dr. Solhan is the director of the TRUST House, a long-term residential treatment program for female veterans. Additionally, she is a founding member of the VA Boston Dialectical Behavior Therapy Consultation Team, and is passionate about training and educating within the VA Boston Healthcare System. Her research interests include personality disorders, affect instability, impulsivity, emotion regulation, substance use disorders, mindfulness-based interventions, and novel treatment research methodologies.
