Dr. Marilize Everts

Biography

Marilize Everts is a Lecturer in Advanced Thermal Engineering and Electric Propulsion Systems at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University College London. She obtained her BEng (Hons) and MEng degrees from the University of Pretoria, where she was recognized as the top-scoring student in her programs. In 2018, she completed her PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the same university. Dr. Everts is a member of the Advanced Propulsion Lab and the Energy Environment Research Group, contributing to significant advancements in the fundamental understanding of mixed convection and transitional flow. Her research has been published in high-impact international journals and she has presented her findings at various conferences, earning recognition through national and international awards as well as invitations to deliver keynote speeches and guest lectures.
