Biography

Marilyn Aita is a full professor at the Faculty of Nursing at the Université de Montréal since 2008 and a regular researcher at the Research Center of the Sainte-Justine University Hospital Center. Her research focuses on the impact of the neonatal environment on the growth and development of premature infants, specifically on the development and evaluation of nursing interventions related to family-centered developmental care aimed at optimizing neonatal environments. Aita supervises various graduate theses where she explores critical issues in neonatal care, aiming for impactful nursing practices and improved outcomes for vulnerable populations in neonatal units.
