Biography

Marilyn Dumont is a poet and writer with a robust academic career as a professor at the University of Alberta in the Department of English and Film Studies. Recognized for her contributions to poetry, Dumont received a Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Alberta in 2019 and a Lifetime Membership from the League of Canadian Poets in 2018. As an instructor, she teaches various writing courses that cultivate students' literary skills in poetry.
