Biography

Marina Moskowitz is a Professor in the Department of Design Studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, where she has been since 2018. Her early career involved curatorial roles in history museums, focusing on artifacts that engage communities with local histories. She received her PhD in American Studies from Yale University and has worked in the area of material culture to understand how it shapes national communities among American consumers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
