Marina Riabiz is a Lecturer in Statistics at the Department of Mathematics at King's College London. She earned her master's degree in Mathematical Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, with a specialization in Applied Statistics. Marina completed her PhD in the Signal Processing Group at the University of Cambridge, UK, focusing on latent variable models and Bayesian inference applied to stable distribution processes. Since joining King’s College London in 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher in the Cardiac Electro-Mechanics Research Group, she worked on uncertainty quantification in cardiac myocyte models and also held a position as a visiting researcher at the Alan Turing Institute. In September 2021, she became a Lecturer in Statistics within the Department of Mathematics. Her research interests include computational statistics, probabilistic machine learning, Bayesian inference, and their applications in medical sciences and engineering. Marina is also the co-lead of the Centre for Doctoral Training in Digital Health, known as DT4Health, which aims to train future leaders in innovation for healthcare.
