Mario Leclerc obtained a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Laval University, Quebec, Canada in 1987. After a brief stay at INRS-Energy and Materials, he joined the Max-Planck-Institute Polymer Research in Germany as a postdoctoral fellow in 1988.
