Biography

Mario Schijven is an Associate Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of Illinois. He earned his Ph.D. in Organization Strategy from Tilburg University in 2008 and has since developed a robust academic career, focusing on behavioral perspectives of strategy and organizational theory. His research delves into organizational learning, decision-making, and the evolution of complex strategic settings, particularly in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and organizational restructuring. Schijven has published extensively in leading journals, contributing insights into strategic management practices. He has held various academic positions, including Assistant Professor at Texas A&M University's Mays Business School before returning to Illinois.
