Professor Marion Kiechle specializes in gynecological oncology, emphasizing inheritable cancer in women and the establishment of individualized cancer targets. Upon returning to Freiburg, she worked as a staff scientist and acquired her postdoctoral teaching qualification in 1995. She served as a senior physician at the Department of Gynecology at the University Hospital of Kiel until 2000 when she became the director of the Department of Gynecology at TUM’s Klinikum rechts der Isar. In addition to her clinical role, she is a board member of the German Society for Gerontology and Geriatrics and holds an adjunct professorship at Christian-Albrechts University in Kiel. Kiechle has also worked with the Bavarian Minister of State for Science and the Arts on several initiatives.
