Biography

Marisa Herson is an adjunct senior lecturer at Monash University, specializing in burn surgery and tissue banking. Additionally, she is a member of the World Health Organization Expert Panel on Tissue Donation and has held the position of General Secretary of the World Union of Tissue Banking Associations. Her research interests align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, emphasizing the critical intersections between health, environment, and sustainable practices in the field of tissue banking and organ donation.
