Biography

Mariusz Bral completed his medical degree at the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. He underwent General Surgery Residency at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and completed an Abdominal Transplant Surgery Fellowship at the University of Alberta, where he also obtained his PhD. His doctoral research involved enhancing clinical experimental ex situ organ perfusion. Currently, his research interests focus on mitigating ischemia/reperfusion injury, enhancing mitochondrial function, and resuscitating damaged marginal transplant grafts using ex-situ platforms. He joined the University of Saskatchewan as a Transplant Surgeon.
