Marjan started studying environmental law in 1987, focusing on understanding how high-level environmental protection can be efficiently and effectively achieved within the context of sustainable development. She also has practical experience as an environmental lawyer at the Dutch Ministry of Water Management and Transportation and has contributed to several research projects and courses regarding renewable energy and sustainability.
