Biography

Marjorie Olmstead is a Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Washington, Seattle, and serves as the Associate Vice Provost for Academic Personnel in Faculty Affairs. Her research focuses on creating and investigating crystalline interfaces of dissimilar materials and the resultant ultra-thin films. Prior to her current role, she directed a multidisciplinary PhD program in nanotechnology and served as associate chair of the physics undergraduate program.
