Professor Mark Beach has 35 years of experience in physical layer wireless research, specializing in spread spectrum, adaptive smart antennas, and enhancing capacity and range in wireless networks. His expertise includes MIMO-aided connectivity, throughput enhancement, millimeter wave technology, and secure, robust frequency agile radio frequency technologies, including simultaneous transmit-receive (STAR) technologies. Additionally, he serves as an expert panel member for the DCMS 6G committee and co-director of a CDT in Communications while managing research impact efforts within his school. Mark is also a co-founder of ForeFrontRF, a Cambridge-based company innovating frequency agile technology to replace fixed frequency Surface Acoustic Wave (SAW) components typical in cellular phone technology. His ongoing projects include principal investigator roles across various initiatives aimed at enhancing efficient 6G connectivity and other research funded by EPSRC.
