Dr. Mark Bianchi

Biography

Mark S. Bianchi, MD, is an Assistant Professor at Yale School of Medicine specializing in Otolaryngology Surgery and Sleep Medicine. He is board-certified and passionate about helping patients with sleep and breathing disturbances caused by nasal and sinus problems. Dr. Bianchi provides advanced, minimally invasive surgical treatments for conditions such as obstructive sleep apnea, rhinology issues, and general otolaryngology. He earned his medical degree from Yale University and completed his residency in Otolaryngology at Yale-New Haven Hospital. His current research focuses on the use of ultrasound to measure upper airway characteristics in patients with sleep apnea. Dr. Bianchi emphasizes the importance of diagnosing and treating sleep-related issues, especially obstructive sleep apnea, and he integrates both surgical and nonsurgical options in his patient care. He utilizes various advanced techniques, including the hypoglossal nerve stimulator and uvulopalatopharyngoplasty (UPPP), to minimize the invasiveness of procedures while maximizing patient outcomes.
