Biography

Mark Boyd is a Visiting Professorial Fellow at the Kirby Institute, University of New South Wales, and a consultant physician specializing in HIV Medicine and Infectious Diseases. He holds the Inaugural Chair in Medicine at the Lyell McEwin Hospital, University of Adelaide since July 2016. Boyd also focuses on tuberculosis in the context of HIV co-infection, antiretroviral toxicity, and bioethics in clinical trials. He has received notable awards, including the Frank Fenner Award for Advanced Research in Infectious Diseases from the Australasian Society for Infectious Diseases in 2014.
