Biography

Mark X. Cicero, MD, FAAP is a Professor in the Department of Pediatrics (Emergency Medicine) at Yale School of Medicine. He completed his MD at the State University of New York at Buffalo, followed by a pediatric residency at the Children’s Hospital King's Daughters and a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Yale. Dr. Cicero’s work focuses on pediatric disaster medicine, including designing educational strategies and conducting research on disaster preparedness. He has been involved in national efforts as a consultant for pediatric disaster preparedness and has firsthand experience with various disasters, including hurricanes and epidemics. Dr. Cicero is dedicated to enhancing the quality of emergency care provided to children through innovative training and research initiatives.
