Mark Andrew Davenport received his B.S.E.E. in 2004, M.S. in 2007, and Ph.D. in 2010 in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Rice University. Following his doctoral studies, he served as an NSF Mathematical Sciences Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Department of Statistics at Stanford University from 2010 to 2012. Additionally, he was a visitor at the Laboratoire Jacques-Louis Lions at Université Pierre et Marie Curie during the summer of 2011. In 2012, Dr. Davenport joined the faculty at the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He has received several accolades, including the Sloan Research Fellowship in 2017 and the National Science Foundation CAREER Award in 2014, as well as the Air Force Office of Scientific Research Young Investigator Award the same year. Dr. Davenport has also earned numerous teaching awards and currently holds the position of Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Signal Processing. His research interests encompass areas such as signal processing, statistical inference, machine learning, and low-dimensional models.
