Mark Dresser is an internationally acclaimed bass player, improviser, and composer known for his interdisciplinary collaborations and innovative performances. Dresser co-coordinated the 'Deep Tones Peace' project in 2009, which involved live Internet performances with thirteen international bassists. Dresser has been actively involved in music education, presenting lectures and participating in notable music institutions. He joined the faculty at the University of California, San Diego in fall 2004.
