Biography

Mark Ensberg is an Associate Professor and Director of the Geriatrics Division in the Department of Family Medicine at Michigan State University. He is a trained geriatrician and the Interim Director of the Geriatric Medicine Division at Holt Senior Care Rehabilitation Center. Dr. Ensberg received his medical degree from the University of South Dakota and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Michigan State University. He further advanced his expertise by completing a Geriatric Fellowship at the University of Michigan. His academic and clinical interests focus on interprofessional training for healthcare teams, community-based care for the elderly, early detection of dementia in primary care settings, and the management of challenging behaviors associated with dementia. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, and Hospice & Palliative Care. Dr. Ensberg is actively involved in leadership initiatives in the area of senior care facilities.
