Mark F. Green is a Professor at Queen's University, specializing in Civil Engineering. He has made significant contributions to advanced composite materials, bridge dynamics, and concrete structures. As an NSERC Scholar, his research has focused on the structural performance of concrete structures in fire, particularly those using fiber-reinforced polymers (FRPs). Over the past decade, he has extensively examined the fire resistance of concrete structures enhanced with FRPs and the effects of cold regions on FRP-strengthened concrete. Currently, he is investigating the fire performance of sustainable ultra-high-performance concrete (UHPC) and corrosion effects on concrete columns in fire contexts. Dr. Green has led major research initiatives, including the $1.65 million NSERC CREATE program, which promotes sustainable engineering practices in partnership with Indigenous communities. He is also active in promoting engineering education for Indigenous students through various initiatives at Queen's University. His leadership roles include serving as co-chair of Queen’s Truth and Reconciliation Commission Task Force and as a member of several advisory circles in Indigenous engineering education.
