Biography

Mark Greene is a prominent legal professional who heads Cravath’s Corporate Department and leads the firm’s International Practice. His practice concentrates on mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities matters, guiding cross-border and domestic transactions, private equity deals, complex restructuring transactions, proxy fights, and takeover defense. Renowned for his impressive reputation in handling cross-border deals, Greene is often recognized for his outstanding deep experience in M&A. He prioritizes his clients, taking the time to understand their objectives and providing practical legal advice. Greene has received multiple accolades including 'Dealmaker of the Year' from the American Lawyer and 'Cross-Border Dealmaker of the Year' from the Deal Mergers & Acquisitions. He is frequently acknowledged as a leading M&A practitioner by Chambers USA, Chambers Global, Legal 500, and IFLR1000. Greene is also part of the Legal 500 Hall of Fame in the M&A: Large Deals category. His diverse clientele includes companies from various industries such as healthcare, consumer products, agriculture, industrials, and financial institutions.
