Biography

Mark Hannesson is a composer and sound artist known for his instrumental and electronic mixed works. An active performer of live electronic music, he originally hails from Winnipeg, Manitoba. He earned his Doctorate in Music Composition from the University of British Columbia. Hannesson is a member of the Wandelweiser Collective and has had his scores published by Edition Wandelweiser in Germany. His work has been featured in various audio archives and festivals, highlighting his contributions to acoustic and electroacoustic composition, as well as human-computer interaction and experimental improvisation.
