Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Mark Horowitz. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Professor Horowitz initially focused on designing high-performance digital systems and contributed to the development of early RISC microprocessors and distributed shared memory multiprocessors. In 1990, he took leave from Stanford to help start Rambus Inc., which specializes in high-bandwidth memory interface technology. Upon returning in 1991, he led a research group that pioneered innovations in high-speed link design. His current research spans the use of electrical engineering and computer science analysis methods to tackle problems in neuro molecular biology and the creation of new agile design methodologies for analog and digital VLSI circuits. He has built interdisciplinary teams and remains passionate about learning and new discoveries.
The Computer Science department emphasizes research potential. GRE General is currently optional but recommended for some tracks.
