Biography

Dr. Lanthier has a long history with Carleton University. After receiving his undergraduate degree from the School of Computer Science, he continued at the university to receive his master’s degree in 1993 and a Ph.D. in 1999. He began teaching at Carleton as an instructor in 1997 and became an assistant professor in 2000. His research interests focus on robotics, artificial life, and computational geometry. Dr. Lanthier has worked with numerous students on research projects involving robotic simulation coordination, robotic path planning, and robotic sensing design.
