Mark Levitan is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Ophthalmology at Dell Medical School. A native of New York, Levitan obtained his medical degree from the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn, where he also completed his medical internship and ophthalmology residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn. In addition to his clinical work, Levitan has served as the principal investigator in nationally recognized clinical research studies involving novel pharmacological therapies and has lectured nationally, instructing retina specialists on the diagnosis and management of vitreoretinal pathology. He is also dedicated to community service, providing patient education seminars and lectures for medical professionals in Central Texas.
