Dr. Mark Libin

Biography

Mark Libin's recent work focuses on British literature and twentieth-century world literature, with a primary emphasis on South African literature, particularly post-1994. He has published a book employing affect theory to discuss post-apartheid South African literature and culture and is currently working on a monograph that addresses the newer phase of South African literature, often referred to as post-post-apartheid. His methodological approach leans toward Marxist theory, reflecting his commitment to understanding literature through socio-political contexts.
