Biography

Mark Lubberink is a Professor in the Department of Surgical Sciences at Uppsala University, specializing in molecular imaging and medical physics. He studied technical physics at Eindhoven University of Technology in the Netherlands and received his PhD from Uppsala University in 2001 with a thesis focused on quantitative positron emission tomography (PET) using long-lived isotopes. Following his doctoral work, he conducted research as a post-doctoral researcher and medical physicist at the VU University Medical Centre in Amsterdam. In 2010, he returned to Uppsala as a senior medical physicist in PET, eventually becoming the head of the diagnostic medical physics group at Uppsala University Hospital in 2015. His main research interest lies in quantitative PET methodology, particularly aiming for the clinical implementation of quantitative PET methods.
